Line Marking Paint Calculator
Enter a measured run and get paint litres, a waste allowance for symbols and hatching, and a quick equipment suggestion — for car park bays, warehouse floors and yard markings on concrete or asphalt.
Paint estimate method
The calculator multiplies line length by width to get painted area, applies your number of coats, then divides by coverage (m²/L) for the surface texture you choose. Rough or open-textured surfaces soak up more paint, so coverage drops and litres rise. The symbols and hatching percentage adds a realistic top-up for arrows, bay heads, EV marks and keep-clear boxes that a straight length-based figure would miss.
Treat the result as an ordering estimate, not an exact yield — batch, applicator, temperature and surface condition all move real coverage. For bay-by-bay layouts use the car park visibility simulator; when you've settled on a quantity, compare hard-surface line marking paint.
