Warehouse Floor Marking & Safety Layout

Plan internal floor marking for walkways, forklift lanes, loading edges, hazard boxes and pick/pack zones.

Walkways, aisle clearance and colour discipline

Inside a warehouse, the useful question is not just how many metres of line are required. Separate pedestrians from forklift routes first, then mark crossing points, charging areas, loading edges and any hazard boxes that need to stay visible when stock is moving. Keep colour conventions simple enough for visitors and temporary staff to follow without reading a long sign.

Before the layout is painted, check door swings, pallet overhang, racking changes, cleaning traffic and night-shift lighting. A layout that works in CAD can still fail if glare, shadows or stacked goods hide a walkway edge at the point where people make the decision. Recheck the plan after seasonal stock moves or racking alterations.
